what people think about it

Hi Frank, I think you handled this situation very well and you obviously have a lot of experience. In Beat about the bush by Trevor Carnaby, he mentions switching the engine off rather than letting it run and pulling to the side of the road to allow the herd to pass. Do you agree with this approach, I’ve done it once in the Kruger with a bull and he was happy to walk passed and keep going but it’s was a very different situation than a matriarchal herd with calves as young as these.

Option 1 Payment to Contract Company which employs 5 people to clean varsity is R100,000pm Workers get 5,000 each = R25k. The rest 75K to white people & kick back to person who gave you the contract. Option 2 Employ the 5 people direct & pay them 8000 x 5 = R40,000pm + R10k for materials. Varsity saves 50% . Everyone is happy until......after strike for uniforms....LOL

Its so painful and unacceptable for our parents to earn such a peanuts but I don't see them surfacing in this strike due to the following; 1. The contractor is already going to loose the contract, it will only survive if the big boss is one of the university executive. 2. The employees are employed by the said contract and not the University. 3. The only thing which the cleaning contract must do is to fix issues that concerns their employees. 4. I am an ANC member and I love ANC, but I am afraid to tell that sub-contracts from security, cleaning, plumbing, electrical you name the lot, the are owned by top ANC members. 5. I can bravely tell that about 20 companies has already submitted their tenders to take over from the present contract, since the strike doesn't involve the University. 6. These employees are going to be out of the Job if their company and not university fails to resolve the problem. 7. If the university decides to employ the strikers, all private companies are at risk. 8. Once Malema (EFF) decide to join and support the strikers (because he believe in commotions), the situation will be out of control. 9. We are heading to festive season, a season that need money and I am sorry to see what is going to happens to family of the strikers. 10. I beg the University to at least speak to the service provider and convince them to meet the needs of the strikers or they lose the contract. I maybe wrong!!!

Why not just be happy they have jobs? Do they know how many people are unemployed in South Africa? I don't understand their logic sometimes! Ok University employ them but with less salary. Then they will strike again because of that. Some people you just can not keep happy no matter what.
