The correct way to combat transfer pricing is to lower one's corporate tax rate so that it is lower than the receiving zone.

"THE WORLD IS MADE UP FOR THE MOST PART OF FOOLS AND KNAVES." - To Mr Clifford, on his Humane Reason. Duke G V Buckingham (1628-87) English politician. "While a financial novice in a smart suit mouthed away in Parliament yesterday, I couldn’t help thinking how some multinationals will be licking their lips at the easy pickings now available in South Africa." Spot on on both points. Alec! As always. I salute you, I couldn't have said it better. "a financial novice in a smart suit mouthed away in Parliament" - Hell yes, but I think the "financial novice" part is giving Gigaba far too much credit, its being kind to the man, a euphemistic handle for IDIOT. It boggles the mind that the arch-idiot, the Laughing Hyena, good ole JZ, saw it fit to replace a man of Gordhan's stature, expertise, experience, wisdom, and International recognition, with a fool, a knave, in a fake Pilot's uniform. But then we all know why. The Treasury now belongs to the Zuma clan and the Gupta's. Their man is firmly at the helm; that its a fast sinking ship is of little concern, as long as they can get the remaining cargo safely off the ship. That the gullible Captain is going to go down with the ship, of even less importance to the Puppet Masters. "in a smart suit mouthed away in Parliament"- Well said, Alec. Thank the Lord he left his SAA Pilot's uniform at home. Smart suit, yes. He can afford it, we're paying for it. "mouthed away" - Precisely, a pre-programmed little automaton reciting what the programmer put in his miniature brain. It must have been Greek to Gigaba. But he had to look his best for the TV cameras. Mouthing away hot air about the mismanagement of the SOE's - but what has he done about it? Other than handing out rescue packages which will soon be gorged and the increasing losses piled on the taxpayer's shoulders, whilst the perpetrators live like Kings at the public's expense. " I couldn’t help thinking how some multinationals will be licking their lips at the easy pickings now available in South Africa." - Exactly! I sincerely doubt whether Gigaba, if challenged, and asked what is "transfer pricing", would be able to give a meaningful answer. He'd probably tell you, whilst scratching his SAA Captain's Cap, "Aisch! Its taking a price sticker from the one packet to put on another packet. Easy! You transfer the price. See?" Whilst unscrupulous (most of them are) multinationals siphon off billions of Rands of profits made at the expense of our struggling economy. Happily engaged, unchallenged, in serious transfer pricing whilst Gigaba, clueless, minds the store for his Masters. Truth is, when Zuma saw it fit to replace Gordhan with this Joker who knows absolutely zilch about Finance and international trading, South Africa lost a sterling Minister of Finance who was busily engaged in trying to salvage the wreck Zuma and his pals created. Unfortunately, Zuma hasn't replaced the outgoing Gordhan yet, the position is still vacant. What about Gigaba? Isn't he the Minister of Finance? NO! He's a proven Gupta lackey, a mere figurehead. A false front. We DON"T have a Minister of Finance competently looking after the Treasury and the other important tasks allotted to him. Instead we have an ignoramus carefully told what to say, what noises to make, what ineffective actions to take to make it APPEAR as if SA has a capable Minister of Finance (I'd love to be a fly on the wall if Gigaba, heaven forbid, is ever engaged in an impromptu debate with real, genuine Financiers) while the behind-the-scenes looting of the Treasury is silently taking place. Alec's closing line, "If you thought education was expensive, try ignorance." is so very apt. Gigaba's absolute ignorance, lack of genuine insight, and of course the fact that he's "captured", all spell bad news for our economy, the people, and the country. Thanks to the ZUPTOIDS we're about to be downgraded once again. The massive shortfall on the Medium Term Budget has to come from somewhere, but after Gigaba's pathetic speech methinks International investors and financiers are stampeding at the exits. Where our "esteemed" "Minister" of Finance is going to source the money from is anybody's guess. Maybe he could try, like a good magician, to pull a Bunny from his Captain's hat. The present state of our economy is fraught with serious, potentially disastrous pitfalls. Rampant inflation, lack of disposable income, wholesale job losses, falling company turnovers and profits, runaway poverty, outrageously increasing crime, severe lack of service delivery, a crumbling nation-wide infrastructure, ridiculous public sector wages, municipal bankruptcies, crippling drought, sickening farm murders, and money-guzzling SOE's run by corrupt, inefficient, unqualified Zuma snouters, and a nearly negative growth rate, to name but a few, all impact on the economy. These factors all have to be taken into consideration when preparing a budget, a task even the inimitable Gordhan will find extremely difficult at present. How the Zuptoids expect Gigaba, of all people, to even try to comprehend this, never mind do something constructive to remedy it, is a mystery. But then, they don't want him to do something about it, he's only there till they've successfully stolen the last cent out of the ailing economy's coffers. AND THE BAND PLAYS ON! AISCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone let Khompela & his players know that history will judge them as those who where beaten in one week by Pirates, provided they don't get their act together. Shabba "Mr it was not our day" can keep accepting defeat but history will be the judge.Yesses, what kind of a captain says the same thing every time we get beaten.A captain must be brutal & say like it is.The "it was not our day statement or we gave it our best shot", echoes the sentiments of gutless leader.

Can you blame them for falling back onto the old flag? as the new flag represents corruption, murder, rape and criminal chaos with a police force that is unable to uphold law and order. The old flag for them represents a country that had much less crime and people were much, much safer. There is no argument even.
