You have obviously chosen to skip all reason and stick with politics. So sad.

You want to hear the truth that suits you, just like any other political fanatic. Yes you are fake in this argument, giving the impression that nothing could have been done to save that strip of land. Who legislates has the power to do alot, unfortunately that alot today means twisiting that power in their favour to fatten their account threshold. You are a true Maltese example of political egoism. easy tiramisu recipe

I reciprocate the same feeling. The end result, our enviornment suffers with another twisted permit given under the PL administration...NOW.

Oh then why did your Prime Minister cry foul back then?? He forgot inequality at that time?? It's useless to discuss with people who only see one side of the coin. Keep on building then and keep our millionaires richer and richer. Yes better future for the selected few.

You fail to understand the INEQUALITY that proposal would have resulted in. What would those that had not developed their property yet say? DESTROY ALL THE DEVELOPMENT I.E. THE MAJORITY THAT HAD BEEN BUILT IN THE INTERVENING PERIOD BETWEEN 2006 AND 2013?????

Yeah. We know in 2006 it was horrible, Mr Better Future.. So stop trying to justify the unjustifiable by blaming PN. We know PN were just as bad. Stop trying to use illogical conclusions to justify a stupid decision.

No you do not understand, your dear Joseph Muscat could have pledged that if elected to Goverment he would have reversed those boundaries, and no one would have invested in those properties but of course he did not!! Capito now. You are silly to think Labour could not have reversed this, Labour did not want to, as simple as that. At the end of the day I cannot understand what you are defending, the enviornment is essential to you, me, our kids and future generations.

The permits could not be withheld once the area was in a development area. Capito? You are silly if you consider any Goverment perfect! I don't!

01/11/2017

Pierre Pizzuto

Pierre Pizzuto

Did Joseph Muscat reverse that bad decision, NO!! Instead to compliment the Nationalists enviornmental sins the PA issued permits for such a monstrosity. What conditions have been imposed, go and see for yourself idiot before you comment, the rock is being cut destroying everything. It's obvious, the enviornment is not one of your priorities as for most Maltese, picturing the goverment as perfect is.

This was turned into DEVELOPMENT land in 2006. UNDERSTAND or not? The PA, however imposed conditions which are being met. Re your last sentence, you have no clue what you are talking about!!! Some areas were reversed or graded, HOWEVER MANY WERE ALREADY DEVELOPED!!!!! You tell me whether it would have been fair to reverse what was not built, BUT allow those developed to NOT be taken down. You tell us, would the PN have taken down those developed?

FAA, Rambers and FoE have been in court against the Local Plans that made this possible since 2006. However our case has got almost no where in 11 years, allowing this and thousands of other damaging permits to go through. This is not the first such permit to be issued. We have battled: - A permit for villas on a far richer, protected archaeological field in Rabat (issued under PN to a PN activist), - A permit issued to a big developer at Skorba temples that allowed them to smash prehistoric remains under people's horrified gaze (no monitor obviously, and Superintendence took no action). - A permit for a monstrous block of flats on an archaeological field at Triq iz-Zbibu, San Gwann where the Superintendence unearthed remains which were taken away and have not been seen since. That application began under PN & concluded under PL. - FAA reversed not one but TWO permits issued in the perimiter of Ta' Hagrat Temples at Mgarr, one under PN, one under PL. There really is no choice - Philistines all!

"The PL could have reversed those obscene regulations, they did not of course." even after Joseph Muscat had requested to speak at the 2006 national rally against the Local Plans that paved the way to this monstrosity.

Certainly but do not stop there, the PL then continued the obscene ODZ destruction by granting permits to this ugly out of place building. But who cares as long as it's a better future for the few. The PL could have reversed those obscene regulations, they did not of course.

This development was made possible by the Gonzi/Pullicino/PN ruinous, obscene, 2006 ODZ destruction regulations.
