PL paints their own picture in their actions/non-actions, this puts Malta in a negative light. So who is being negative here, the ones trying to stop corruption, or the ones doing nothing about it? PL - you are in power, do something about it instead of trying to deflect blame to others.

kruger national park accommodation availability No one is saying otherwise. However what you do not understand, without excusing anyone, being such a tiny island Malta needs a much, much, much bigger effort in certain delicate matters for the simple reason that everyone knows everyone. If you do not understand that reality, you need to thin about it. Having said that, when the PN were in power they did little to improve the rule of law and dragged their feet if not stopped completely to enact the necessary statutory instruments to fight corruption and the like! On the other hand, the Labour government within a few months in power removed prescription for politicians (meaning that there will be no time barring from the authorities to take legal action against politicians, when and if evidence can be brought forward, no matter how many years have passed). Another strong legal instrument to fight corruption was the Whisteblower's Act which the PN governments were too afraid to enact. The difference between PL and PN is very obvious and it is the PL that have the political will to make the necessary changes.

Law and order should be colour blind. You do the crime - you should do the time - very straight forward. Nothing to do with PN or PL - a crook is a crook - every single accusation should be followed up by an independent authority - fast, efficient, transparent and incorruptible.

kruger national park Law and order should be blind - stop all the PN or PL bullshit - you do the crime - you do the time - that's how simple it should be. Starting with the Maltese clock from 10 years ago to any other allegation which has come up in the meantime- every crook should get his or her deserved punishment - all leads will be followed up - an interdependent justice system is not about PN or PL - it should be in all our interest

Well, Joe, PM Muscat can easily distinguish between fakes genuine people. He can also smell a hidden agenda from a light year away. Yet, if thyy asked for a meeting I am sure he would not have refused. What thousands of thousands of people who colossally and epically voted Labour think is that these wannabees hoped and prayed that there will be no meetings because when things are fake, it all falls like a house of cards! Simple logic.

Ignoring the fact the prime minister's comment regarding a drug trafficker who got away with it because of shortcomings of a previous police commissioner and attorney general which is a logical fallacy, a good example of the type of justice currently being served is the appointment of Dr. Martin Bajada as a court expert in Daphne Caruana Galizia's murder probe. Dr. Bajada is a convicted felon with a criminal record. Last year an appeals court disqualified a report by Dr. Bajada because of his criminal record. The Chief Justice himself indicated that other judges and magistrates should be guided by the aforementioned appeals court decision when pondering whether to appoint Dr. Bajada as a court expert. Enough said.

When you consider that the previous PM and his colleague (BFA) where associates/directors/involved with the Ndragata and the Dutch drug cartel, the question automatically arises: Was there ever any rule of law? Did we see any protests when the investigating officers protected BFA from Interpol and set his file aside instead of co-operating and taking the necessary actions?

A strong majority gave you another mandate to lead the country. A stronger majority supports you. You lead in the name of the majority and not the campers outside your front door. The PeNe will do its best to throw a wrench amongst the works, for obvious reasons. You will never please everyone, especially those with hidden agendas. Whilst you cannot discount any genuine concern coming from whatever quarter, your mission is to stir the country in its current direction, making necessary stops and corrections, en route. Good job so far. Firm hand on the rudder.

I think our prime minister is living in la la land If he be leaves in our institutions when shall we proceed with the oil scandal and John Dalli Let me remind all, these happened during a PN Government Why are we still waiting I wonder who is involved And if we trust our institutions we should be waiting in Ernest when the FIAU recommendations to investigate ,quite a few cases start, and are put on our national priority list

I thank you, You have to be objective. Why didn't the PN bring ths issue of the rule of law then. They were in charge. The Police commissioner and the attorney general were under their control. Please tell us where you stand on this issue. What s important is the the PL did not want to make a big issue about this and damage Malta further for political reasons. This is the main difference between the two parties. Do you see my point and if so, what is your view that Malta is being dragged for political reason and damaging our institutions Be objective now Anna. No partisan politics.

My response is that we expect him to address the important issues at hand- the rule of law which has degenerated, Daphne's assassination and the protesters in front of Castille. He purposely mentioned the drug trafficker to deviate attention. As usual. He did not tell us what he intends to do to ensure that in the future no drug trafficker would escape justice.

Without any doubt, when the rubber hits the road the PN party is more screwed up that we ever thought. They invented corruption and for 20 years bankrupted Malta and their party. What about the Prime minster claim on the drug trafficker.? Any input as to this claim. After all it was done while the PN party was in power and it is on point.
