Tax still gets you either way. There are many companies that compete in this space, and yet prices are still very high. That tells me there is some factor, either the cost of shipping or taxes that prevent the prices from dropping.

nosa centurion That sounds like great news. My Samsung Tab 4 (ran 4.4 kit kat) with 1.5GB ram usually had around 500MB available. My old Lenovo (5.something Lollipop) with 2GB had around 1GB free at any time. Friend of mine running Android 7 Nougat with 3GB Ram has around 1.5GB free at any given time. All the above devices ran/run the OS software that came out the box(stock).

I don't know the particulars, but I believe good inroads have been made to make the Android OS use less ram. But for a 'power' user it is very little

Typically for electronics I see the following formula work quite well: Take the price and convert to ZAR, multiply that number by 1.5, round up to the nearest 100. So in this case R2500.

LOL James, you're still on about Blackberry? Come now, you need to use technology from this Millennium. My iPhone 6 Plus lasts 2 days on average, sometimes I can push it to three.

Too little RAM. Too small storage. With 8GB: if it's like other Androids, close to 4GB is for OS and 1.5GB bloatware.

Why would you need to run 8 apps in the background, unless you mean all the android shjt you can't remove?

Yep they went for a weak processor from the looks of it. My redmi note 3 has a snapD 650, 4000mah that lasts 2.5 days, 2GB mem, some models have 3. I don't look back from xiaomi anymore, can't see anything in the market with as much value for money..

My xiaomi redmi note 3 has something like a 4000mah too, I get 2.5 days out of it, just basic use. 2GB memory too.

It will probably so slow you need it to last for two days to do what another phone does in one day. I have a Motorola G4+. The battery lasts at least two days on a full charge, and dual sim phones use a big more battery. Next xiaomi

But why 1GB RAM Nokia, why??? Probably it would freeze every second if I loaded a 64GB SD Card (not to mention the 128GB allowed on the phone) and only used half of its capacity with at least 8 Apps running in the background. . .

Xiaomi's products typically carry much bigger batteries than this.. Mi max 2 @ 5300mah. Last years mi max was at 4850mah with much better specifications and can be had for quite cheap. Come now Nokia. You need a better draw card than this.
