what people think about it

A dumb thing to do.....go backwards into the past with old ideas and old stuff. Equally dumb are the old ideas and chantings of a tired old bunch of people from long ago called the ANC - surely its time for a new younger set of leaders with younger and more progressive ideas and its time to burn that old flag too

Hmmm... I talk from personal experience and not hearsay... and that puts me old enough not to be influenced by propaganda. Have you ever actually smelled the stench of human flesh of a necklaced victim? A victim, one of the 3000 brutally murdered by mobs of mindless indoctrinated youth, now praised as "struggle heroes" and who by their hate speech and brainwashed rhetoric are not dissimilar to what you find on this sort of interactive media.

the mere fact you feel the need to state you know more about religion and kharma is indicative of a soul who's search for selflessness is loosing to ego as I conceded to Richard below, I suppose i should have taken a deep breathe before commenting on your post as I myself allowed personal anger and frustration to vent on you, and therefore find myself lacking in the selflessness I talk about

So true. The myth of White Majority Capital has been replaced by the actual Indian Majority Capital. The bastions of White privilege education, Curro and Advtech, who in past years had super growth and returns are now going negative as the educated well off white middle class are escaping to friendlier countries.

Now put that into context! IN 2017 (not 1975) Which MILITANT political group that continually shouts KILL WHITES is the third biggest in SA and what is their stated agenda... and threats of REAL VIOLENCE? Then also ask how many blacks OPENLY support this anti white rhetoric? Then ask how many ANC presidents and ANC political leaders in DEMOCRATIC SA have publicly sang the ANC MK VOW to KILL WHITES? And this includes dear old Mandela himself! Now we are not talking pre 1990... but RIGHT UP TO PRESENT DAY! And you know what? You'd rather be entrenched in the past blaming whites for your situation a quarter of a century into black power and democracy... and too ASHAMED to condemn the racialist black hatred that surrounds you and that keeps you enslaved to poverty. There are only 4.6 million whites... and 90% of those whites WANT to see blacks prosper! Yet you focus on the bad 10% and blame all whites... and drive out those white geese that can help the economy with their golden eggs. There are over 6 million middle class blacks... more than double whites in the same category. Black millionaires (dollar based) are increasing by 11% annually, There are 7 black Billionaires and in top 20 most richest SAficans. while white millionaires decreasing by 23%.

02/11/2017

David

David

How old are you?

02/11/2017

David

David

Tell me... do you know how many black South Africans are classified as middle class? Do you know what the researched standard for middle class is? Do you know how many blacks are millionaires and multi-millionaires? Has white middle class declined or grown? Have white millionaires declined or grown? Do you know what the white population was in 1993 and what it is today? Do you know what the black population was in 1993 and what it is today? Do you know how many whites, Indians and blacks have university degrees and are currently studying at university? Do you know how many billions have been given to BEE entrepreneurial enterprises, projects, grants and education to help blacks become business owners and employers of blacks? Do you know in spite of this how many black business have been created and that contribute significantly to the economy and to employment in almost a quarter of a century? Now go check the real reason other than ANC propaganda and why the economy is faltering and why unemployment is increasing... and put that into context to the declining white population and white business owners leaving SA -- thus increasing unemployment and reducing tax revenue. Then before you revert to the 23 year old white privileged rhetoric... best check these facts and especially the Indian community privilege in 2017, see which community has the biggest increase in managerial jobs and university education.. I have researched these facts... have you bothered?

What are you talking about? Where in your wildest drug induced fantasy did I even imply its OK to kill a black? This comes out of your own distorted mind and/or logic. And Yes you did justify murder! Let me refresh your memory.. "the violent and sadistic nature of the murders indicates a very personal revenge motive - cause and effect" CAUSE AND EFFECT suggests justification and THEN BY A PERPETRATOR WHO IS STILL ALIVE AND WAS NOT KILLED IN THE FIRST INSTANCE... AND THEREFORE IS NOT JUSTIFIED TO APPLY CAUSE AND EFFECT. I am more aware of Karma or Cause and Effect than you... and if you really knew much about it... it does not state a person is entitled to take law or life into their own hands... this is left to the HIGHER POWER Karma etc suggests. I know what the problem is... you dont have knowledge of SA law or any law of any civilized nation on the planet. And what does religious and global ACKNOWLEDGED CRIME mean? What do you mean... "An eye for an eye" or the Ten Commandments.. "Thou shall not kill"?? What "distorted worldview of justice" do you believe I have or dont have? Shame on me?? For what? For something your biased mind conjured and has read into my comment? Something that was not there? You dont need what I am smoking... whatever you are on has apparently damaged your mind. You have no idea of who I am or my values... and seeing you quote religious law being acknowledged... "don't judge me least you be judged" is also commonly accepted... and joke is... that can also be interpreted as Cause and Effect or Karma!

Seeing as the racialists with their superior "holier than thou" comments on here are focusing on whites being morally inferior to them purely based on their skin color... then I must put them right... I DON'T MAKE JUDGEMENT on ALL white farmers and certainly not on a fallacious issue that implies ALL white Farmers mistreat their employees. AND I certainly dont judge all blacks on the racialist EFF members with their anti-Constitution and anti-democratic hate agenda by shouting anti-white hate slogans and inciting violence against whites by brandishing KILL WHITES posters.

02/11/2017

David

David

I'm missing the point?? No Abraham you are missing the blatant and obvious truth. Read my comment not your bias mind! MY point if you can accept a point of FACT beyond your narrow bias is... why does NEWS MEDIA like Radio 702 for one example ALWAYS ignore and NEVER condemn EFF radicals who ALWAYS shout hate anti white slogans and brandish KILL WHITES posters?? Yet immediately focus all their anti-white bias attention on an old bigoted man from a bygone era, not wearing a military uniform or political T-Shirt or emblem, and as such does not represent any political party, while sitting passively on the back of his bakkie and not shouting KILL BLACKS or brandishing KILL BLACKS posters.. while almost totally ignoring the WHOLE POINT OF THE BLACK MONDAY PROTEST! If you/they are too stupid to comprehend your blatant bias from mere words... Then this is why I provided pictures of FACT to assist you.

02/11/2017

So why ignore and NOT condemn EFF radicals who ALWAYS shout hate anti white slogans and brandish KILL WHITES posters?? I guess an old bigoted man from a bygone era, not wearing a military uniform or political T-Shirt or emblem, and as such does not represent any political party, while sitting passively on the back of his bakkie and not shouting KILL BLACKS or brandishing KILL BLACKS posters.. instills your outrage? If you cannot see your blatant bias from mere words... Then this is why I provided pictures for those too stupid to see the bias and racialism they display!

I honestly think that we as a country still have alot to learn, a lot to forgive and alot of healing to do. One life is significant and one life should be enough to get us as South Africans so mad. Here we are attacking one another trying to justify whose life is more important when each life is important regardless of color, ethnicity and background. We should be furious at those taking life not each other. We are so consumed with hatred that we attack one another and not the ones who are causing all this havoc, the one who are killing, stealing, raping and destroying. Can we let go of our anger long enough to see that we are leading the next generation down the same path? With who will change begin?

yes, that's how i perceived it as well, my mom 89 also says the same thing as you from growing up on a farm in the Eastern Cape( she speaks Xhosa) it appears we have now got hate mongers (and they come in the form of politicians, pastors, business leaders, social leaders, etc) who have taught us all to resent anything that doesn't fit with their agendas, so they can manipulate people for their own selfish narrow gains, normally materialistic. They use fear as both the stick and the carrot.

Richard Dias

Richard Dias

Dude again, not that i know the guy, but based off his statements: "Radio 702 choose to highlight the old apartheid flag used by a few misguided bigoted whites, rather than focusing on the real issue of the wanton brutal murder of farmers?" Where does Dave condone the murder of black people, it's 2017, there are black farmers too. What i take from his comments is that he's upset and feels that media (702 in particular) is overemphasizing and highlighting the racist elements and not the key motive behind the march, yes there were racists morons there, and some of those farmers are nowhere near as innocent as doves, despite their claims. Fact is the isolation and lack of law enforcement in these areas are bad all around, for the farmers as well as the workers who suffer at the hands of racist bigots.

01/11/2017

tongue in cheek

tongue in cheek

jeez, can i have some of what you smoked? i didn't justify murder, what i did do was i explained "cause and effect",obviously a concept you don't want to understanding because it doesn't fit with your distorted worldview of justice, which appears to be that it's ok for you to kill a black, but not for a black to kill a white.any murder is evil and that's why it's a religious as well as global acknowledged crime Shame on you, because your deep seated sense of superiority and entitlement over others shines through like a beacon of hate

01/11/2017

Richard Dias

Richard Dias

How in his statement did David show that he didn't care about the murders of black people, your logic is slightly stretched there bud? Some Farmers have done horrible, stomach wrenching things because of race, but there ARE black farmers out there that live in isolation, them and their workers are also at risk also more of your Sherlock Holmes logic "so one can deduce that something happened to the murderer perpetuated by the murdered person" Again while that's true in some cases, your statement makes it as if the all the farmers that have been harmed or killed had it coming!? By your logic based off the IOL statistic, when homes and complexes in say, Northriding, are invaded and the owners tied up and beaten, is it because they did something against the perpetrators to deserve it?

indeed it is, i think what grootes is saying that largely we tend to stick to our own type of people, this is where we formulate our 'political' thinking,so a person brought up in a conservative afrikaans community that still uses racial words about others would then tend to also use those words, or a kid who is brought up in an extreme anti white township would then assume hate for whites. so if we expose ourselves to different cultures, we see for ourselves that the other cultures aren't always the bad guys

I had a very heart-warming experience on Monday. My son, who is a Cerebral Palsy (CP) disabled child had not been to school for some weeks following his various operations in hospital. Upon arriving at school, his classmates, boys and girls, were so happy to see him; and the teacher re-iterated that the other kids, with a special emphasis on a white, male boy, kept asking where our son was. And on the day we dropped him at school, again, a white girl grabbed my son's name tag from their box of tags and rushed to give it to my son! This is an experience second to none..... And the point that I wanted to drive home is that, despite these children's physical/mental disability, caused by their different conditions, they, unlike us, do not see the "taught" differences of race. There is so much to learn from this....

Julie Jansen Van Rensburg

Julie Jansen Van Rensburg

I - as an 80+ South African - grew up during a time when there WAS mutual respect between black and white - my parents farmed in the Ermelo district and all our workers were from Swaziland. There were also three families who had their homesteads on the farm. As the nearest doctor was at least 40 miles away and we had no phone service in those far-off 1940's (later somewhere in the 1950's the then Post Office installed what were known as farm lines, but prior to that - no real communication with the outside world in case of emergencies - when these happened, we had to deal with them ourselves - to five you one example - one of the teenage black lads accidentally trod on the broken base of a glass bottle - it penetrated his foot so deeply that he could not remove it, so he literally CRAWLED to the house to get help. My stepdad - who was addressed as "Nkosaan" saw the youngster coming, and made him lie down on his stomach; put a stick in the lad's mouth and told him to bite down as hard as he could and with a pair of pliers extracted the broken glass. Every morning after that the lad was made to sit down in a chair in the kitchen where my mom washed and dressed the foot, which - in time, healed perfectly. My stepdad also fashioned a pair of crutches for Jeremiah in order to allow some easier movement.... At the same time, during the hot summer months all doors and windows were left wide open to let in the cool night air, but there was never any fear of intruders. Sure, if someone from one of the homesteads needed help at any time - day or night - they were free to come and ask for - and get help. Christmas day all three families would come trooping down to the house, dressed to the nines, and they would be given a sheep to slaughter and as much veggies as they wanted from the garden, and the women would task the men to cook that day while the rest sang and danced under the pines surrounding the house. I had a black girl - about my own age - as a playmate during my school holidays - if we were naughty, we'd both get a hiding, but Mom would also spoil us with treats from her pantry. I can only ask - where did it all begin to go wrong? Why cannot we display the same respect towards each other as we did in the old days? WHY? Because the poison of liberalism seeped into our society and today there is virtually nothing left of that wonderful atmosphere we experienced in the old days. Oh, and by the way, I actually prefer speaking to ANY black person in isiZulu - and it is surprising how much goodwill that creates... The staff at my regular shopping centres all know me and always greet me as I enter, and we enjoy a bit of joking, etc, And believe me, it is surprising how much goodwill that creates when two people of different cultures can greet each other and exchange pleasantries....

so you don't give a fig for brutal murders of black people in townships(created by white baasmanskap), farms wherever, only white farmers - this has nothing to do with 702 reporting. 2016-2107 19 000 murders in SA, of that 70 are white farmers, so doing the maths that is 0.3% . this is still unacceptable as is the other 18 930 murders 80% of people know their murderer (stats from IOL.co.za) - so one can deduce that something happened to the murderer perpetuated by the murdered person, also the violent and sadistic nature of the murders indicates a very personal revenge motive - cause and effect, as is also indicated in the opening piece of this article by Nigel Braken If you think it's ok for white bosses to abuse black staff and then get upset for revenge taken on the boss, you my friend are indeed a small person with a sick mind.

I disagree with mr Grootes entirely. If you teach your children to respect others, that you are not more important than others, and all the (severely lacking nowadays) good manners that makes a good person, then it doesn't matter where they grow up. where do you suppose do different nations and cultures come from? Because everybody always mixed? Nope. Saying that growing up, only with people who look and speak like you, is like saying that, should i relocate to a country, like China for instance, i am going to think i'm better than them because i did not grow up with them, and i never spoke their language? bs.
