Now and then I take a quick peek at the AfD "competition", the NPD (the veterans in the right-wing party game in Germany), just to see how they size the AfD. Just by looking at the headings, one can gather quite a bit. Some news comments on the AfD: 5.7.2016 (by the leader, Udo Voigt): "Does the AfD submitt itself to political correctness?" http://www.npd-bw.de/index.php/menue/24/thema/69/anzeigemonat/07/anzeigejahr/2016/id/4537/infotext/Unterwirft_sich_die_AfD_der_political_correctness/Nachrichtenarchiv.html More interesting: 2.9.2016 (Ronnie Zasowk, deputy leader of the NPD): "Original instead of a copy - consistency instead of fickleness" https://npd.de/original-statt-kopie-konsequenz-statt-wankelmuetigkeit/ "The AFD is a projection screen that promises everything, but will ultimately hold nothing. Who already embarrassingly dissociates itself without any power options and ingratiate itself, who is afraid of the "right-wing"-baton of the media and established parties, can't strike any clear course. Those who want a political surprise, have found a right home in the AfD. But those that want clear and uncompromising statements, who want not a better organized mass immigration, but rather no mass immigration, should give his second vote to the NPD on Sunday."

I'm not so sure Lyn. Some countries like Namibia do offer old animals like rhinos for hunting, but others like Zimbabwe not. Also Zambia offered many animals including lions for hunting, without any selection- but now this abhorrent practice was suspended, I hope permanently

I share you disdain for this practice but it's my understanding that only very old and incapacitated animals are allowed to be the subject of these trophy hunting shoots. Perhaps if it really is true that the trophy shoots finance a substantial part of the rest of the park it is something which ultimately helps protect the more healthy animals? purposive

Thank you, Christian! I am traveling to South Africa in May of 2018, so it may be some time before I can make it to Botswana, but I really want to. I'd love to spend my money where the killing of animals for trophies is NOT allowed or glorified! Thanks so much. I'll keep your contact for later.

How I would like to see the world sharing your views on hunting! It's becoming beyond disgusting, a rich individual pays a large sum of money to kill a healthy animal, instead of using part of same money to enjoy wildlife in a safari.

That's what I thought. I was confused as to where the country borders were according to that map. I'd like to see ALL hunting of apex predators stopped.

Hi Schroederville, Botswana no longer permits hunting - Google maps are outdated.

This looks amazing! I would love to see Botswana and the Okavango Delta. The whole expderience looks beautiful. Maybe next time. My trip to South Africa is approaching and we already have it booked and planned. I have to say, It's a shame to see the hunting areas in that map. I HATE trophy hunting, it is a vile old holdover from colonial days and we need to be PROTECTING animals now, not killing them. Killing is NOT conservation, don't believe the LIES that the hunting industry tells. I regularly see photos of pathetic rich old bastards holding up dead animals, often endangered ones, like leopards, and grinning like they made some sort of manly conquest. It's abhorrent and sick.

sampling Brother, politics idzi hadzina kunaka. It does not matter which party you belong to...but why would masses heed a call to boycott elections if the playing field was level and there was no suspicion of rigging in Kenya. Back home, after Zanu Pf, MDC T/N or any other party u remain my brother and we remain Zimbabweans. All I want is a free society where my vote is respected and not manipulated...where it does not matter that I am Zezuru, Karanga or Ndebele...where I dont have to bribe my way through normal things like getting a passport. Where I dont feel threatened/intimidated when I see police officers, where I feel free to use my real name on social media platforms and castigate Zanu Pf without fear of reprisals(not because I hate Zanu Pf but because I love Zimbabwe). Where I can be a Zimbabwean, proud, happy and prosperous.

There are times when you feel you have seen enough drama and Kenya should just move ahead. Do you really think it makes sense to run another election to correct the anomalies that Raila and colleagues saw in the first round of a "sham of an election"? Some things just cannot be corrected. I think Kenya would have been miles ahead had the first election not been challenged and nullified. We are talking about people's time here, government resources and much more. Shall African countries get poorer just because they are chasing this fuzzy thing called "democracy"? Elections in Africa are like a a raw sweet potato (mbambaira). Don't ever think of straightening it up! They are also like football matches, whereby the ruling goverment is the home team and the opposition is the away team. As we know, the odds usually favour the home team, although away wins are also not uncommon.

This Raila lost the first election and he is not a fool to repeat and lose. All he is doing now is to try some violent strategies and I would want to believe he has some close associates to help him wage a war against the government of Kenya. He has been in this race for long since taking over from his father Jaramogi Odinga who fought endless but losing election battles against Jomo Kenyata father to Uhuru Kenyata. On 30 Dec 2007 Raila lost to Kiibaki and disputed the results. he did not take to courts since he suspected manipulation of the judicial system by Kibaki and hence there is nothing knew about this boy and his war-like tendencies.

dude. its not about winning elections. when the voting process is not transparent and the ruling party has access to all the state funds its easy to fake a win. it doesnt help the country though does it? thats what all the comments on this forum are about. no one cares about the parties.

Agree 100%. Same as in Zimbabwe in 2008. Three week delay in counting votes, then declare a rerun. Unleash the police and army, kill 300 opposition supporters. The opposition boycott the poll and the incumbent wins a landslide. Opposition then called stooges and bunch of sore losers.

What dictator? There is no political dictatorship in Kenya as we see facts on the ground as reported. President Uhuru Kenya was elected. Those who decided to boycott elections exercised their democratic right. Interestingly ,the Kenyan Chief Justice voted when Raila the loser was advising his supporters to boycott the re-run. In Zim we have our own Raila stooges of the West who lose and cry foul as their political practice and culture. But the nation will not be distracted by those ordained to be losers and opposition outfits forever. The Kenyans will move on and leave stupid losers screaming and kicking in vain. Uhuru will put his foot down and call the country to order .
