It appears Director Sango, his predecessors and successive Ministers of Transport are all guilty of gross incompetence and dereliction of duty by failing to assure the CVR used at least part of its budget to maintain and modernise licence disc production equipment dating from 1983. Apart from bemoaning the state of obsolete CVR equipment, what have Mr Sango, his department, and various Ministers with an oversight role, done to rectify this known decades old problem, other than sit back and enjoy their state salaries and perks? Perks which include luxury foreign vehicles which never experience licensing delays known to the general public, and whose multi-million taxpayer funded costs over decades could have completely renovated and updated CVR methods and equipment many times over?

pmb escourt I notice this dog regularly in Spinola bay and I can assure the animal welfare, the police and the reporting neighbour that the dog is very well kept and happy. This dog lives a better life than 80% of the population and is so well disciplined that kids play with it and doesn’t even chase the many cats that hang around that area. This case is a pure waste of resources and the owner should sue both the animal welfare and the nosey neighbour in my opinion.

Shouldn't the ST. Julian's police be busy with REAL criminals of which there are plenty in that locality, besides the dog was not injured as animal welfare testified. So what is she being charged with really?

Then stop arguing with common sense. You saying people should not do business with government, because they know government does not pay IS saying it is acceptable.

Government settling bills late is NOT acceptable. There's no such thing as "they know gov settles late so......" Gov should NOT settle late. We don't even know who the old security firm is. Might be some black entrepreneur (there are quite a few of them in the security sector) who has now lost everything due to government settling late. It is NOT and excuse. It is an ANC problem, and they must correct it. They are killing the ordinary businessmen and his employees with this.

Your example of your friend is EXACLY why the ANC is to blame.

Of course our doctors and nurses and medical staff need protection. There's no argument there. I am addressing Kupe's problem with one profession asking for more protection than another.

i know all that, and I don't condone it, but I am saying the government seems to settle the bills late, maybe the accounts clerks are blogging on the Beeld and here instead of processing bills, this is what is costing economy, i know a friend whose business had to close cause the late payment cause her small business to collapse. that's why its not advisable at all to do business with the gov, unless you have a duduzane connection

profile Funny how all the cadres always get their payments on time, often even before the time. Plus I don't agree with mediocre service delivery. So you're saying everyone who votes ANC must just stop striking or expecting anything, as you mos know the don't deliver on their promises.

Somaartakeone OhmeGod

Somaartakeone OhmeGod

everyone who undertakes to provide services with the gov, knows that they are not paying on time, so if you are a prudent business person you make provisions for this, I dont' approve of late payments, but the ones signing contracts with the gov know this in advance, they can chose to provide service or they can opt out,

that's why I said last week, esasikrom-krom besidutyulwe e airport should have been left to bleed out, ngoba the last thing we want is for criminals chasing after him shooting up at doctors and nurses, doctors and nurses are always vulnerable. they work so hard and don't need this additional stress.

Exactly, like the firm Deloitt's and Touche! The were heavily involved with all the shenanigans in 1998, after Ernest & Young" fell from grace! Oh, has anyone wondered how all this "SHYTE" came about? One only has to go an have a look at the legal firms along with the auditing firms who were involved with the Public Private Partnership Projects in this country - then you will realize how "State Capture" came about!!!

Yip, and "#SA's Affirmative Neanderthal Hunter" will definitely have to appoint a "Tesk Teeem" to investigate what the meaning is of a pseudo blonde wearing a ring on "its" index finge as shown in the backdrop. He might have to refer the matter to Putin for ratification at a price, once the "Tesk Teeeeem" has "fok-us'd" and ruled on the matter! ;)

It's hard to believe it's taken so long.... so many totally irrelevant documents. .. when will SAP realise it's quality not quantity. Even so, some progress but I sense SAP are hastening as slow as they can manage. One wonders why McKinsey has not progressed as far as SAP but I guess the partners have more of a personal stake. Fear of USA Regulatory Authorities has a salutary effect, as it should!

"The SAP Executive Board has decided to eliminate sales commissions on all public sector deals in countries with a Corruption Perceptions Index (according to Transparency International) below 50, effective immediately. South Africa’s rating is 45." Only below 50? Why, if everything was above board, would SAP pay commissions to anyone in respect of any public sector deal, anywhere ? Public sector entities invite SAP to bid for the business on their merits, along with everyone else. The best option wins. End of story.

A creditable response. SAP head office should be praised for their response. And a stark contrast with the Mckinsey response. But in the case of Mckinsey it seems too many partners were involved to excise the rot like SAP has done.

Doesn't matter which side you sit on, this is excellent from SAP. They did exactly what they said they will do and more to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future.
