Good point. Imagine if the farm murders got as much hype and attention as the Penny Sparrow debacle. Just goes to prove how the media is completely messed up and only interested in sensationalism that will generate clicks and sales

Nah. Being nice and apologetic brought South Africa to the state it is currently in. What is needed is a bit of Malema-like rhetoric excepting the lies - being absolutely and brutally honest instead.

"Incidentally, as to your assertion that apartheid was implemented by the British this is what Wikipedia has to say about the ZAR: ..." The point is that prior to the war, apartheid was not necessary, since there were several theoretically sovereign states and/or politically autonomous regions arranged along ethnic lines. South Africa did not exist until after the war - when it was lumped into a single political entity by the British. Who immediately discovered that they needed to implement what were essentially apartheid measures to make it work.

Sanctions against the SA govt, are needed with haste, Malema running his ignorant and arrogant mouth again, forget Zuma this guy will be far worse... SA govt should be charged for allowing this murderous scourge not too mention so many other failings such as supporting other failed dictatorships. Next step is to push for sanctions against certain govt officials. When a farmer and or family gets brutally murdered hardly raises anything on the news if anything, a silly racist issue in a spur that could easily have been resolved in a decent manner gets 100 times for coverage than people losing their life in a horrific manner.

this is not s racist matter as people of all colours are being murdered by bloodthirsty savages, the problem is the people with the power to do something about it do nothing just let the law take its course they say but it hardly ever does. You want to govern then do it properly and protect the innocent decents of all races in every way possible no matter how extreme that protection becomes.

Acts of racism against the farmers: 16 years for a next-to-nothing lesson, Masonic caught, lies they the asheep have taught. Unlike the acts that kindle the unpleasant memories and ongoing never-ending "white is bad, black is good" experiences of the circa '94 CONstitutionally approved current apartheid era. Hmmmm.

HoneyABadger

Killings of farmers are very real and should be treated with the same seriousness as acts of racism against blacks. As farmers protest, one hopes the majority of them won't allow 1-2 rotten apples to diminish their genuine protest, through acts that rekindle unpleasant memories of the apartheid era. centre

I know the history, unfortunately the vast majority of South Africans don't and it will definitely not be perceived as a symbol of friendship by them. They might think that people who display such flags should be educated about the new South Africa so that they can rid themselves of their prejudices. It certainly won't do the farmers any good to be associated with old flags. Incidentally, as to your assertion that apartheid was implemented by the British this is what Wikipedia has to say about the ZAR: "The constitution promoted racialism as it treated European (white) people differently from Native (black) people. Although slavery was illegal in the constitution and foreigners (white and black) were both discriminated against, black foreigners had fewer rights than their white counterparts. Black and Asian foreigners could never become citizens of the ZAR; at this time in history, this was very similar to many other European countries as well as in the New World. Discrimination on the basis of race was prevalent in the ZAR and black British subjects were forced to reside in ghettos outside cities with Asians and blacks, whilst whites were free to live anywhere. One of the justifications often used by the ZAR Government for its institutional racism was that "sanitation and regard to public health necessitated that measure of segregation". Boere dot coza says "The constitution provided only for the citizens of the country. All the citizens of the country were white skinned Dutch speaking people and all other people, including the British and neighbouring black skinned native tribes, were all excluded from the constitution. So perhaps it is not really a symbol of friendship to black people (or us buitelanders for that matter) to be waving a symbol of exclusion about the place.

The Vierkleur should really be perceived as a symbol of friendship. It was the Transvaal flag prior to the second Anglo-Boer war, when the interior of South Africa consisted of basically several independent and self governing kingdoms and republics. That was before Apartheid, which was implemented by the British after the war in a then united South Africa, in order to ensure a supply of cheap labour to the gold and diamond mines of people such as Rhodes and Oppenheimer. By then, the Vierkleur was initially replaced by the Union Jack. If people have a problem with the Vierkleur, they must simply be educated about it, so that they can rid themselves of their prejudices.

So some idiot leading the go slow convoy in Vereeniging has a huge Vierkleur flag, which will do nothing for sympathy towards the farmers' plight - instead it will alienate them as they will be seen as anti-transformation racist boere. That idiot is reinforcing the bad stereotype that a lot of black people have of farmers here.

Siener saw them: Action will be taken against those protesting the white farmer genocide, whilst inaction is the official order of the day when a white farmer brutally passes away, stand down they say, we must rid the land of they who feed the nation, the hidden hand Orwellian script demands total annihilation, a dark side creation, bought and souled, the cadre terrorists on every station, white farmer deaths require no investigation, naught less should we expect from the Marxist red tide!
