pan I am extremely happy because Muscat is not doing the same. As if he'd stoop so low! If you're happy voting for someone who signs allegedly false invoices for in-flight soup, go right ahead.

01/11/2017

J. Vella

J. Vella

Now Muscat is doing the same and you are happy. You are a poor slave.

01/11/2017

Douglas Camilleri Borg

Douglas Camilleri Borg

Because the PN, the party which used to sell itself as the scourge of crime and corruption, has refused to present these allegedly false invoices. Supposed payment for NET publicising in-flight soup to the general public, if I remember correctly. And I too tend to feel that most of the comments I disagree with are useless, but I still feel it is my duty to engage with them.

01/11/2017

J. Vella

J. Vella

What a useless comment. Labour is in government and it cannot even investigate what it believes is a crime.

The only crime I see glaring right in my face and yours is the crime that financed the PN before March 2017. If we are to believe DCG's many accusations against DB.

DCG did not sacrifice her life because of Panama papers, FIAU saga, Egrant Inc and the Russian woman, she knew how to move between the raindrops and how to tread a minefield on such matters. The fact that all the above are in Malta (in 2017) and depend on local resources and local business, and when considering her stature, would have never posed a danger that has led to her assassination in that way. People who file libels against someone, do it because they feel that is their possible way for revenge. She had put her life in danger the minute she dove into far treacherous waters, ones which required far more protection than changing a car ever so often or keeping two dogs at home.

31/10/2017

Douglas Camilleri Borg

Douglas Camilleri Borg

He was very much Simon's when the PN was being kept going (just) with vital revenue from DB, and he was most definitely Simon's when the PN leadership was allegedly falsifying invoices to conceal what was going on.

Again, you are parroting the PL media. The facts are there, I can make an ever ending list but don't feel like it when I know it will fall on deaf ears. I will give you points. Muscat , Mizzi and Schembri meeting in Azerbaijan. Panama papers of Mizzi and Schembri and Egrant (Tonna's statement-I will disclose only on skype.) Russian woman had photocopies of Michelle Muscat UBO information at Pilatus Bank. Russian's father threats in Russia by thugs sent by Maltese. FIAU and police commissioner resignations. Accountant Tonna's dissolution of Egrant when it was a shelf company. Tonna first he did not want to disclose UBO and later he said it was his.

I think you have a misunderstanding of the meaning of the word FACT. Something becomes a Fact when it is proven with hard undeniable evidence. And this is exactly what Daphne as a blogger was never able to do. That's why she was known as a hate blogger. Where are the facts on Egrant and most of the other fibs she used to tell?

Hate blogger? It suits the PL right to call Daphne Caruana Galizia hate blogger and you are parroting it. I can assure you that whatever DCG reported were FACTS. Starting from Panama papers, FIAU saga, Egrant Inc and the Russian woman that was threatened together with her father in Russia and now the murder of DCG. These are all facts and Daphne sacrificed her life for all that. I just hope that Malta Today will take DCG vacuum for the benefit of the country and you, John Brown.

Some commentators have asked what would happen if after the resignations of the Police Commissioner and the Attorney General, no agreement is reached between the Government and the Opposition on the persons proposed to occupy the post. According to the Nationalist Party (at least that what their ex-leader proposed) if after two rounds the a two-thirds majority was not achieved, then the Government could make an appointment after the approval of these persons by a simple majority. And of course that brings us back to square one.

Parlament ta' Malta 13 ta' Lulju 2011 - diskors Franco Debono '' . . . . . Wasal iż-żmien għal riformi politiċi ta’ ċerta entità f’din is-soċjetà li qed tinbidel. Wasal iż-żmien li titwieled il-Kostituzzjoni ta’ Malta fl-Unjoni Ewropea, ta’ Malta Ewropea, li tirrifletti l-istadju tal-iżvilupp demokratiku f’pajjiżna. Wasal iż-żmien li nidfnu għal kollox il-mudell taż-żewġ tribuijiet li jokkupaw territorju wieħed u nsaħħu l-identità ta’ poplu wieħed b’fehmiet differenti. Wasal iż-żmien li titwieled il-Kostituzzjoni ta’ Malta Ewropea b’istituzzjonjiet iktar b’saħħithom u iktar sodi li jissombilizzaw lil dan l-Istat. Is-sistema tagħna hija sistema parlamentari, u ma nistgħux inħaddmu mudell presidenzjali mingħajr is-salvagwardji ta’ dik is-sistema presidenzjali. Fis-sistema presidenzjali għandek elezzjoni separata għal-leġislatura. Fl-Amerka għandek elezzjoni separata għall-kungress, li mbagħad jaġixxi ta’ check and balance fuq l-eżekuttiv, u allura fuq il-karta nistgħu ngħidu li s-sistema tagħna hija sistema parlamentari. Hemm bżonn li nkomplu nsaħħu ċ-checks and balances fis-sistema tagħna ħalli din tibqa’ b’saħħitha. Sur President, fis-sistema tagħna l-indipendenza tal-ġudikatura tagħna hija soġġetta wkoll għal checks and balances mil-leġislattiv, u allura jien nemmen li jekk inħallu dawn iċ-checks and balances jitmermru bejn it-tliet organi tal-Istat, ikollna biss demokrazija fuq il-karta. Bla dubju ta’ xejn għandna bżonn parlament iktar b’saħħtu u awtonomu. Hemm bżonn li l-iStanding Orders ta’ dan il-Parlament jinbidlu biex jiġu jirriflettu r-realtajiet tal-lum, u li l-Parlament ikollu mezzi ta’ komunikazzjoni aħjar. Nemmen li d-demokrazija hija bbażata wkoll fuq konċett li ħafna drabi neħduh for granted; elettorat informat u edukat. L-issues politiċi tal-lum huma komplessi u speċjalizzati, u r-rwol tal-media li tinforma lill-pubbliku u żżomm lill-elettorat informat huwa fundamentali u jifforma parti integrali intrinsika mill-proċess demokratiku. . . . .”

There are rules to rremove the Attorney General and not by a publuc trial at Valletta's Republic Street. We have to abide by these rules. What if the Police Commissioner and the Attorney General are removed and after consultations with both parties there is no agreement on who to appoint ? Then what ? From what I can see there would be no agreement and we end up with a real problem. Whoever approved the Cobnsitituion in the first place was clever not to dissolve such authorities just because there is a section of the public that wishes to do so, We have to be careful about such matters. And by the way, Dr Peter Grech is one of the most reliable, honest and dedicated person on the island. Those with an honest conscious knows that I am saying the truth.

"Malta needs to become democratic again" Yes as soon as the PN opposition does not keep insisting and demanding on changes or else! "The foundations of the Country’s economic future have dissolved" You can stop smoking what you are smoking for starters. Secondly, stop harming Malta's name abroad! It does not need a wizard's brain to understand that the foreign media and the same EP members are being prompted locally in what what to say against us.

With each day that passes Delia is looking more like a spinning top trying to please everyone in his party. Does Delia consider not paying any taxes as the rule of law? Is Delia, the politician who is in Parliament without a single vote to his name, trying to teach us what is the rule of law? Is Delia going to attend today's PN gathering in Sliema? Civil Society Network is nothing more but a front for PN. As reported in other media Delia apologized to the Caruana Galizias and he was send packing. Would Delia have apologized to DCG, if DCG was not murdered or he would still be calling her a 'Bicca Blogger' to be left all by herself and would still be pressing for libel action and take DCG for everything she's got? Delia is a grosse HYPOCRITE and a nincompoop when it comes to playing the political game
