Like thieves in the night the enemy came in to do us harm. We should be mighty proud that we stopped them dead in their tracks without the ANC government or its institutions. In fact, its the ANC government which invited in the enemy. Therefore, the ANC is the enemy.

The question that does not get an answer and is politically incorrect to ask is "Were is the Harvard or Oxford that the black people build for their own? The answer is " Hmmmmmmm there is none, the black people of the world have not created one University that is comparable to a good White creation." But there is countless examples of white institutions that was destroyed by blacks. What is the lesson out of this all? Blacks are Destroyers, whites are Builders.

Yea man, i'm with you on that one, i don't know how ANYONE can get away with blocking a major road and disrupting traffic without getting a swift kick in the backside. That said it was a non violent protest unlike the Taxi/UBER protests of late, that might be why the SAPS were lenient this time.

Mr Fearne, when a patient is unhealthy, as a doctor, do you: - treat the symptoms or the cause of the disease? - tell the patient to change his/her perception or address the real problem? Mr Fearne, I have been given to understand that you are an upright and honest man. What are you doing, trying to defend the indefensible? Why? Distance yourself before you lose it all. The LP can fool their supporters who are ready to believe anything you say because that's what's convenient for them but how are you going to convince the European Parliament? In this case, the upright thing to do is not go down with the sinking ship.

If they are treating the Maltese as fools and idiots it is because they have proven to be so, in their vast majority. Even today some of them dare claim that Malta is not a mafia state, that the rule of law prevails, that the judiciairy are not corrupt, that the insitutions are independent.... When you say that about Malta, you are definitely blind and deaf and you should also be mute, it would be safer.

01/11/2017

Marie Paule Wagner

Marie Paule Wagner

We should be talking about improving the country and the people's situation and not about "fans of the PM", which just reveals how immature people are in this country. How can a grown up be a fan of another grown up? It sounds like teenagers' attitudes about football or pop singers. Absolutely ridiculous.

01/11/2017

Marie Paule Wagner

Marie Paule Wagner

They should just shut up. Whenever any of that corrupt lot open their mouth it is to make matters worse. Everybody can see the incompetence and degree of corruption in the CoP and the AG and denying it only makes Malta look even more corrupt and more like a mafia state.

Sorry Mr. Fearne but you seem to miss the point of principle altogether or you're just toeing the party line. Judging from the exceptionally good job you're doing as minister of health I would say you have far greater intelligence then would justify the first. We need people like you to lead by example, call a spade a spade and get on with whatever it takes. This is your opportunity to exhibit statesmanship. Don't miss it.

'We have to let them do their job'. The question is , are they doing it?. From what we have seen over the last months from February 2016 when the Panama scandal came out we have witnessed one instance after another where the Police Commissioner and the Attorney General have failed to take the necessary steps to bring the wrongdoers to justice. Are they incompetent? Are they being pressured? Whatever the reason their job is no longer tenable. Failing to remove them, Mr. Fearne, means that your job too is no longer tenable.

Peter StClements

I'm afraid the clean name is tarnished now. Can't condone corruption, refuse to accept your responsibility to speak up, and stay clean. There is no antiseptic for you Dr. Fearne. The blood on some people's hand can only be cleansed if the hands are cut off at this stage. The gangrene has set in and it now seems to be contaminating everyone and everything. The situation is desperate.

"Lack of trust in certain people and institutions is unhealthy’ Duh! That's why you remove who is causing the lack of trust in our justice system! They sure have it backwards don't they. If you don't trust the brakes in your car, you replace them Mr Minister. Not wait until there is a crash. Well the system has crashed, Mr Fearne. Go fix it! There's a hole in the bucket, Dear Fearne. Trust has all but gone. Fix it!

I guess that Mr. Fearne forgot the fact that files coming from the FIAU were sitting in the PC office without any action taken from his part, there's also the convasor of Evarist accused of fraud and a case was strangely open without an arrest?!! There are more but the first accusation is more for him to escape from the country never mind resigning.

Would I be right in assuming you consider that the rule of law means the police don't have to investigate people like Mizzi and Schembri when it's clear they set up companies in Panama for illegal purposes, that the police don't need to initiate investigations when the FIAU recommends they do and that the police shouldn't have to seal off the premises of the Pilatus Bank when there is a strong suspicion of criminal activity? I think it is you who needs to learn what the rule of law really means.

01/11/2017

J Demicoli

J Demicoli

One has to note, with hand on hearth and no blinkers on, that the investigations which are being touted as the reason behind all this drama ARE BEING CARRIED OUT BY MAGISTRATES. In turn magistrates have been chosen either by allotment or else being the lucky guy who happens to be on duty at the time the case comes in i.e. is reported to our courts of law. So let justice take it's course!

Francis Sammut

Restoring institutions, you are parroting what the government keeps repeating! The question is how does one goes about it without at least changing that which the people does not have trust anymore? Having the PM telling us that he has trust in the commissioner, (because they are friends) is not enough. It's the people who need to have trust in the man.

Let them do their job, did you say?!!! I ask you Dr. Fearne, when did the Commissioner of Police did his job (without fear and favour) regarding Minister Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri, who admitted they broke the law? If it involved any other (common) citizen/s I am sure the person/s involved would have been taken to court. The law is clear: those caught having a secret company/account in a foreign country without informing the authorities concerned, are liable to be prosecuted.

Malta is fully aware, that the now very tired call for the resignation of both the Police Commissioner and the AG is nothing more than Party Politically motivated hype to keep the PN in the limelight as not one person from the 50% plus 40000 silent voters who voted in this administration with the biggest vote ever and for two successive general elections has backed this call .

Stop being childish, immature and irresponsible! Dr Fearne is right and you all know it! Shame on you who knowingly want to go against the Rule of Law and to undermine justice and democracy using a few hundred people! In a democratic country, People speak in elections and referenda, not by drama to hurt our counrty's image! Shame on you all! Where were you during the previous PN administrations with all the uncertainty, practically no majority in parliament, scandals, 'no choosing of AG and Police comm. by 'two thirds of MP's', HFO scandals, MaterDei money pit scandals, etc etc etc!!! Which prime minister resigned in france becasue of Charlie Hebdo', and UK and US and Spain... You are Hypocrites trying to destroy twice in a row democratically elected Government of Republic of Malta! Last election the people of Malta had another choice (a snap election), either to follow your political program/manfiest which included the sacking of AG and Police commissioner or to follow Labour Political program/manifest. The people chose Labour movement with a record majority ever in Malta's history... You few hundred people need to learn what democracy and rule of law really means!

As usual it is always reds vs blues. The question should be - if the COP/AG report directly to the Cabinet (whether red or blue) how could they prosecute if the Cabinet is directly involved in criminal activities? Please note I am not saying the Cabinet is guilty of this allegation but this is the question we should be addressing. By stating that it was always like that even under the PN will not solve this problem. One day PN will be in govt and then it will be their turn to have their puppet COP. This should stop, blue or red!

He's always been an asset in the health sector and he's the best, so far, when it come to the respective ministry.
