The chinese ( no I won't capitalize it ) are vipers to begin with . My sister has been married to one for 30 years . Unspeakable people . I don't care what anyone else thinks , I know what they are capable of . Not sure if they are even human . Sister regrets it now 29 years too late but after the entire family + friends - no thanks . Weird ,secretive people w/ ZERO emotion except to yell. That they would do this to an elephant does not surprise me .

This is heartbreaking..... These precious babies should not be treated this way much less rounded up for some pompous arse and his chinese circus. Africa needs to have more control over situations such as this with ALL the animals.

its time for humanity to recognise the true value of elephants as wild, rather than some financial gain from such atrocity. Under what authority is this allowed to happen? does it reflect the true voice of the people of Zimbabwe or specific interest of a few individuals. It is time to make choices as a species that recognise the inherent interdependence of all life, to make choices that are win win for all life, rather than those that are leading to extinction of species an ultimately the demise of ourselves. These choices need to recognise the needs of the indigenous peoples and give them endeavours, and work that is aligned with the highest good. Wildlife have their own rights, let us honour life.

It is so so upsetting that Africa’s leaders allow its wildlife to be depleted by China and its neighbours. How are Conservation efforts supposed to keep up with the daily killing and selling of Africa’s wild animals?

I admit to scanning elsewhere, especially when I'm in a hurry. But I thoroughly read Free West Media articles. Why? You present "just the facts", without bias, very rare, these days. Much appreciated, Free West Media! self catering

Blade Runner, the final chapter: Their dystopian dream, in one sentence seen by those who keen, "Robots, artificial intelligence and the Internet are the things that promise us smarter cities and easier lives", trancefellated "Trancehumanism, zero intelligence and the net of puppet strings that promise you surveillance cities and Orwellian lies", but then Goldstein must have his way, eyes wide shut, the steely trap doth in your path lay, will you fly or will ye their inane insane game play.

It has always been clear to me that dictating a minimum wage is a massive blow to employment and equally a massive boon to unemployment and my standard question to workers has been 'Would you rather have R3500 of R3500 - or R0 of R4500?' It is a remarkably stupid policy that hits the poor and the unemployed. No one in their right mind wants to see or should tolerate exploitation, but when a minimum wage is set and thus makes it less affordable (or not affordable at all) for employers (and that includes homeowners) to employ workers or domestics respectively, those who would otherwise have been gainfully employed, are not. It would be interesting to see, for instance, how many domestics are employed in homes around SA today compared with, say, 10 years ago. we already know the mining industry has been, and is shedding jobs are a rapid rate, and the same goes for agriculture as well - and a major reason for that is unreasonable worker demands, and an onerous minimum wage that employers cannot afford.

Dumbo? You frigging ignorant liar! What do you want, for our kids to take up alcohol instead? The WORST DRUG ever?

Be rest assured that it is certainly most easily available out there... with the difference being that it can be contaminated with very dangerous chemicals plus the fact that it goes off untaxed. Still, I can assure you that it's wholly available with a click of a finger and given the cellphone invention, delivered to your door! Prohibition is a joke which only serves the pusher. Once it's legal, the pusher has to go looking for a new job.

Although I do agree on your point as regarding to Alcohol consumption and a legal drug milking tax revenue around the word. However I am of the opinion that by legalizing the weed, will make it easier and most certainly more accessible to people that in the present situation is not.

Think what you may dumbo!!! He had a torpedo in his mouth not just a small little joint!!! He was wasted big time!!! Now if he was also on heroin, well it's got to start from somewhere right!!! He wasn't swallowing vitamin pills!!! Stop wasting my time, it's apparent you might be a heavy user and maybe going to the next level!!! CIAO!!!

Why not? It's the safest and mildest drug ever! When nobody bats an eyelid for having the WORST drug ever legal (which is alcohol) and which is consumed for the sole purpose of recreation, why refrain from cannabis. If cannabis was adopted instead of alcohol, it would be a very different world out there... with the extra added bonus that nobody would ever die from it's consumption!

Actually it's you who needs to wake up. He couldn't write "Please donate for heroin" because it's illegal there. NOBODY gets himself in that state for consuming cannabis. Your lack of knowledge on the subject is evident. I still think you're lying...

California et.al., found that they made lots of tax dollars, but there were a number of unintended consequences, including hospitalizations due to the accidental ingestion of edibles by children, unemployed heavy users moving into the area for easy access (therefore social security burden) and an increase in crime - overproduction on farms to sell excess out of area to 'unlicenced' vendors i.e. on the black market, and criminal raids on licenced farms. Amsterdam, who have empirical experience, have reduced the number of licences coffee shops by 28, and are no longer issuing new licences. But somehow, I believe that in Malta the desperation for tax-euros will trump research and common sense.

What a bunch of ignoramuses. Contemporary evidence from around the world clearly demonstrates they are very wrong. These people should do some research outside of their echo chamber. Start with drug abuse rates in areas that have decriminalised and those who have also legalised. Until then, STFU about things you clearly know sweet FA about.
