http://www.southafrica.diplo.de/Vertretung/suedafrika/en/02__Embassy/Ambassador/CV__Lindner.html Stand for Radio 702: The great German poet Goethe on the Zeitgeist, or the spirit of the times (as spoken by Faust, Goethes character who always strives toward a higher level of existence): "The spirit of the times, is but the spirit Of a few men, which to our mind's eye shews The times as in a mirror" (Was ihr den Geist der Zeiten heißt, Das ist im Grund der Herren eigner Geist, In dem die Zeiten sich bespiegeln.).

On TV they are busy building a new white guilt complex case: "Whose fault is it that more and more refugees are coming from Africa to Europe? This was the question that was put in the program "Hard but Fair". Fact: We want the natural resources for this country, but not the people. And the solution?" http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/tv/hart-aber-fair-zu-fluechtlingen-aus-afrika-wer-ist-schuld-a-1112994.html In January I went to a sort of a seminar. There was quite a mixed audience. Germans, Turks, Africans. The ethnic German seminar leader, masters degree in the arts and married to an African, was ranting during the breaks about damn Germany and how Europe is exploiting Africa and giving nothing in return, while Africa could otherwise be just as modern and well-off like Germany. The other Germans were nodding their heads in agreement. One half-educated African male stood there and put oil into the fire by saying that without Africa, Germany would have not have the very coffee they were busy drinking. It was impossible for me to get a word inbetween, for the manner they were firing up each other in indignation. But I doubt my words would have made a difference, for I was not seen as being out of Africa, because I do not look like it, so I carry no credibility. I have had the same experience in another case, where the person went to an African friend of his in the evenings in order to conform whether I was speaking the truth or not. I am white, thus from Europe, but the man with the dark skin is from Africa, thus he has credibility over African matters, my voice just does not count, you run against a wall, even if I most probably have stayed longer in Africa than some Africans over here. At least in the little world I live in. The sad truth is that a large percentage of whites are not responsive to reason anymore when their emotions have been whipped up by propaganda, irrespective of their educational level. That is how wars get started.

Not surprising if she is sponsored by ZANU PF. So we have nearly 80 parties now. Interesting situation. There should be another 20 to get the number to 100. Mugabe will now die in office. After him will be his wife, who will also die in office.

Excellent article. I am in syria now on my fourth trip and just returned from several days in Deir Ezzor and Al Mayadeen. Our small group of independent researchers and activists heard the word of the great General's death at the entrance checkpoint to Deir Ezzor. So many martyrs in those battles there.

Thumbs up. Some comments: Basically, investing through a fund manager would have wiped out most of the 15y gains of dividends - they take that 3% every year. Compound expense is the fugly cousin of compound earnings miracle. Secondly, the guys that miss your dividend analysis the most is the gold bulls. They will quote gold price on a carefully selected date 70’s and then compare to index. When one adds dividends reinvested you realize how empty gold is as an asset

if the' racially identified' group were not a target by analysis 4-5 times as likely to be a victim of deadly crime and violence, and if the standard press did not shirk their responsibility to report on these racially biased murders and attacks while very actively reporting on the reverse racial profile cases, the 'racially identified' group would not be forced to stand as such a group to highlight their plight. They should have done so - consistently for the last 20 years and I hope they do so increasingly until their voices are heard alongside the rest of this countries victims of the ANC's 'rule' to use their description of governance. It is the FAILED RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GOVERNMENt that is of pertinence here and as you note, their blatant racist response is not appropriate but CERTAINLY AND ABSOLUTELY EXPECTED from a racially biased organization responsible for a plethora of current racist law on the statute books, alongside their consistently blatant racist remarks in parliament least of all about farmers in this country.

Anyone in this country's well being has long ceased to be of any interest to the ANC. Their, and their friends in the EFF and BLF's actively encourage acts of racism and violence against the farmer community in their followers. KILL THE BOER KILL THE FARMER - it does not get any plainer than that - BURY THEM ALIVE ON THEIR FARMS - from the mouth of an ANC MP in parliament not many months ago. THE FAILING OF THE ANC TO BRING PEACE, SAFETY AND PROSPERITY TO SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS IS THEIR FAILING NOT THAT OF THE VICTIMS OF THE BRUTALITIES OF THE LATEST CRIME STATS A FEW DAYS AGO. The only comment they as the responsible government should have in the face of 2 FARM ATTACKS A DAY resulting in AT LEAST 2 MURDERS A WEEK is to apologise to all South Africans profusely for their failure there and everywhere else, not go on some racist rant , justification and counter attack. But then the ANC have ALWAYS been at WAR with the citizens of South Africa haven't they? They declared war on SA way back, and it continues still....

Considering the Bond Note is realistically less than 1/3rd of the value of the US$ using the implied exchange rate reflected in Old Mutual shares, around $1200/tonne for GMB wheat would be a reasonable starting point. However as the season progresses and the value of Zim's BN dollar continues to fall, frequent GMB price revues will become essential if it wishes to maintain deliveries compared to those who can offer to buy wheat using genuine US$?

Current prices of wheat in Zambia are US$420/tonne due to increased electricity costs, and in SA US$300/tonne, although regional prices are around US$370/tonne. Wheat costs are much higher than maize, so what wheat purchase price will the GMB be offering to take into account much higher production costs within Zimbabwe? Since the GMB maize purchase price was nearly 3 times higher than regional averages, will the GMB align its wheat prices to over $1000/tonne?

"According to the SAP statement, investigations into Gupta-related third parties payments, has not revealed any evidence of payment to any Transnet employees. The payments were as result of commission agreement between SAP and its suppliers." But, Transnet, why then has SAP suspended 3 of its employees following investigations into Gupta-related third parties payments? You call them SAP suppliers. Suppliers get paid for supplying goods which is not on a commission basis. You must mean agents? If SAP paid the agents a commission they must have had some interaction with you. Therefore, can you tell us who these agents were and when did you meet them? Are you happy that SAP paid these agents a 10% commission? If so, please tell us what services they rendered for this commission?

This "story" sounds like something from a spy movie but the reality is that it is true and it happened here in South Africa at a state owned entity. The lies and more lies surrounding acts of the worst possible corruption and the efforts to try and justify that it was, not is mind boggling. SAP you are clearly not coming out clear and honest on this one, please give us poor tax payer mortals the truth and nothing but the truth? It is our money that you wasted and paid to criminals - it makes you accomplices. .......and then there is Transnet with their unethical, corrupt and illegal actions. We need to see people in hand cuffs going to jail.

So if the Gupta linked companies justified receiving 10% commission they had to have done something to earn it - what was that exactly? And since we know SAP to be financially astute, they would surely have verified what those companies did to earn such handsome commissions - right?
